Why N325CL stands apart
Practically new powerplant
Continental IO-550-N, Tornado Alley turbonormalized. 25 hrs since major overhaul; break-in professionally completed by a Cirrus instructor. A full TBO ahead.
New MT 4-blade prop
Faster climb, added cruise speed, quieter and turbine-smooth, with nickel-cobalt leading edges.
Comprehensive 2026 refresh
New nose gear, brakes, tires, both alternators (150-amp), both batteries, MCU and GEA; overhauled turbocharging system. Much of it under active warranty.
Cirrus Perspective by Garmin
Synthetic Vision, GFC-700 autopilot, ADS-B In & Out, active traffic, TAWS-B, XM weather.
Equipped for real trips
TKS ice protection (non-FIKI), built-in oxygen, AmSafe airbag restraints, GAMIjectors. CAPS current to March 2028.
Handsome cabin, fresh paint
New Italian black leather seats with blue stitching and Cirrus-logo headrests; leather-wrapped dash and yoke-side panels. 2026 paint refresh: modern custom design, Athens Blue (Cirrus custom paint).
SR22 or SR22TN?
Same airframe, same proven IO-550-N engine. They look alike on the ramp and fly very differently once the air gets thin.
- Continental IO-550-N · 310 hp
- Power fades as you climb: roughly 3% per 1,000 ft (rule of thumb)
- Maximum operating altitude 17,500 ft
- IO-550-N · 310 hp, with twin turbos and intercoolers
- Restores sea-level manifold pressure and never boosts beyond it: the engine always “thinks” it is at sea level
- Certified to 25,000 ft · efficient lean-of-peak cruise
Speed and fuel flow from AOPA Pilot’s 2007 flight test of the SR22 Turbo (turbonormalized).
Sea-level power to 25,000 ft
A normally aspirated engine loses power as the air thins. Turbonormalizing feeds the IO-550-N sea-level manifold pressure all the way up, with dual turbos, dual intercoolers and GAMIjectors, and without over-boosting the engine.
Normally aspirated curve approximated from the standard atmosphere. 25,000 ft is the SR22 Turbo’s certified ceiling.
The four-blade advantage
Scimitar airfoil for improved thrust on take-off and climb, turbine-smooth with markedly reduced vibration, added ground clearance, and nickel-cobalt leading edges on a field-repairable, rebuildable hub. STC SA02924CH.
Per MT-Propeller / McFarlane published comparison versus the standard three-blade.
The 2026 refresh, component by component
Returned to service July 2026. Most engine swaps stop at the engine; this one renewed the turbo system, accessories, electrical and landing gear too.

Hot days, high airports
On a summer afternoon, a mountain airport can perform like it sits thousands of feet higher. That is density altitude, and it is when a normally aspirated engine has the least to give. Pick an airport and a temperature.
Density altitude from field elevation and temperature at standard pressure. Normally aspirated power estimated with the Gagg-Ferrar relation. Takeoff power for a turbonormalized engine is shown at sea-level rating.
